Melanie Bell

Ministry Director

Melanie Bell is our City Lights Ministry Director
God called Melanie to the ministry in 1992, laying it on her heart to use her childhood experience of a life in poverty with an
alcoholic father to help children in similar situations.

Pastor Melanie started ministering to children in the inner city for many years, using a
bus ministry at her local church before starting the first Sidewalk Bible schools in the Winston-Salem area. The SBS was started in 2011 when Pastor Melanie, along with her team, attended Metro Ministry Boot Camp training under Pastor Bill Wilson in Brooklyn, NY.

Pastor Melanie is now a retired youth pastor of 23 years and has a heart for children in need.

Her desire is to share the Gospel, and love of Jesus with as many as she can around the world; compassionately caring for needs of others.
Brokenness, fear, hurt, abandonment, hunger, lack of essential needs, and deep sadness are all areas the enemy uses to destroy us.
But in Jesus we find Grace, truth, peace, love and Joy:
this is the message that Melanie wants to share through City Lights Ministry.
